The Brooklyn House
The brief was to enhance the character of the house by removing
some dated detailing added during previous renovations, to provide
lots of storage for books, and to give the Living and Dining rooms
a feeling of warmth and relaxed comfort. We designed the window
seat and book shelves, and provided the curtains and colours. Loose
furniture by the owner.

The Handley House
The May 2011 issue of NZ House and Garden featured the Handley house
in Wanganui, a great project which typifies our style of work. Claire
worked with Juliet and Rob to develop a very comfortable, relaxed
home. Enjoy the images below.

A SMALL BATHROOM
Late last year we were asked to renovate a tiny bathroom, which
felt overcrowded and dark. Immediately in front of the door, the
previous owner had installed a wraparound burgundy painted wall
which completely dominated the space.

The client wanted to use a wooden vanity she had found, so Philippa
redesigned the space to give it a light and airy feel, as well as
maximising the sense of space. The floor is tiled in Carrara marble
tiles, while the walls are small white tiles in a brick pattern,
in keeping with the age of the house. This is the finished result.
